Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Legal Defense Plan The MNFOP is pleased to announce we have made improvements to our Legal Defense Plan effective July 31st, 2023. We have decided to allow members to choose an a la carte plan that fits their needs. The National Legal Defense Plan for on duty incidents. The National Plan for Retired/conceal and carry coverage. The State Legal Plan to cover off duty criminal and administrative/employment civil proceedings which are law enforcement related. Our plan continues to be the only legal defense plan in Minnesota that covers on and off duty incidents for criminal charges. A major benefit of pairing with the National Plan is there will no longer be a cap on duty related experts and expenses. Experts in officer involved shootings have become increasingly crucial and expensive. In addition, the National plan also covers appeals. Our state attorney Rob Fowler will continue to administer our off duty coverage part of the plan, and he also has been and continues to be an attorney on our National Plan. We have added the Carlson Law Firm to our plan.
MN FOP Members Enjoy Exclusive Mortgage Perks, Including Line of Duty Death Benefit Program As the preferred lender of the MN FOP The Affinity Lending Division of CrossCountry Mortgage is honored to introduce our exclusive Line of Duty Death Benefit (LODDB). This benefit erases outstanding loan balances up to $525,000 in the unfortunate event of loss of life, providing financial security to you and your family. In addition to the LODDB, we offer reduced mortgage rates, free credit assistance, no processing fees, no underwriting fees, and no application fee! Plus, we will NEVER sell a first responder loan, so when mortgage rates drop you can refinance your loan through us again essentially free of charge! These benefits are available only through our branch of CrossCountry. Download our brochure to learn more about this exclusive program. As a lending team built of first responders, and those close to them, this is an initiative that is close to our hearts. It is designed to express gratitude to those who often go unnoticed. We know and believe you deserve more than a ‘thank you’. This is why we go above and beyond. We have over 70 years’ experience in the lending industry, working with first responders and we look forward to working with you on your journey to homeownership.
