MINNESOTA FOP HONORED WITH PATRIOT AWARD
Recognition in Miami celebrates months of service to federal law enforcement and the partnerships that made it possible.

In September, the Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police was recognized in Miami at the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association Foundation Annual Awards Gala with the Patriot Award, honoring the support provided to federal law enforcement officers during Operation Metro Surge.
4,000 Meals and a Safe Place to Recharge
During Operation Metro Surge, Minnesota FOP members and volunteers worked with the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) and other partners to provide approximately 4,000 meals to ICE and HSI personnel over the course of several months.
The mission went beyond providing food. At a time when agents were working long hours in difficult and often contentious circumstances, the effort gave them a safe and secure environment where they could step away from their assignments, sit down for a hot meal and recharge with fellow law enforcement officers.
A Partnership with FLEOA
The Minnesota FOP Foundation is grateful to FLEOA and the FLEOA Foundation for their partnership and shared commitment to taking care of the men and women serving in law enforcement. The Patriot Award is meaningful not simply because of the recognition, but because it represents what can happen when law enforcement organizations work together around a common purpose.
