South Metro FOP Lodge 14 President Beth Eilers presented appreciation plaques to Bogarts Entertainment Center and Dick's Valley Service for their continued support. When tragedy struck last year in Burnsville, they both stepped up right away to lend a helping hand. On February 18, 2024 - Officers Paul Elmstrand, Matthew Ruge & Fire-Medic Adam Finseth were shot and killed during a SWAT standoff with a barricaded suspect.
Bogarts held many events including a concert, silent auction and bowling day to raise money to send survivors and co-workers of these fallen heroes to attend memorial services this past May in Maryland and Washington D.C. Dick's Valley Service hoisted a beautiful American flag from a large tow truck outside every event helping to garner huge public support. These organizations have shown their support for many years and it is not just limited to recent events. The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Foundation was proud to lead these fundraising efforts and we are happy to announce reaching the goal.
