IWP Invisible Wounds Project Opens Support Center

The Invisible Wounds Project (IWP), founded by former law enforcement professional Russ Hanes, has recently inaugurated a Support Center in Forest Lake, Minnesota, aimed at assisting police officers and first responders grappling with PTSD. The facility features therapy rooms, a wood shop, an art room, and recreational areas, fostering a supportive community where visitors can enjoy coffee and engage in conversation with peers such as officers, dispatchers, and veterans. Additionally, IWP plans to enhance its offerings with the introduction of a Therapy K9 in the near future.

The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police (MN FOP) participated in the grand opening event, showcasing their involvement and support for the initiative. MN FOP created a YouTube video which been made available that highlights the significant aspects of the Invisible Wounds Project (IWP) and its impact on the community.
