The 101 Market flower shop recently wrapped up a heartfelt fundraiser to support the Burnsville Police and Fire departments. Through a public tulip sale campaign, the shop raised $12,000 this year to assist families of local heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
This effort holds deep significance for the Burnsville community. Families are traveling to two national memorial services to honor Police Officer Paul Elmstrand, Officer Matt Ruge, and Fire Medic Adam Finseth. These brave men were tragically killed in the line of duty on February 18, 2024, during a SWAT operation when a barricaded suspect opened fire.
Last year’s tulip sale raised an impressive $76,000, and though this year’s total was smaller, the spirit and support behind every purchase remain just as strong. The Minnesota Fraternal Order of Police Foundation proudly facilitated the fundraiser and continues to stand by the families of the fallen.
We will never forget the courage, service, and sacrifice of Adam, Paul, and Matt. Their legacy lives on in the community they protected and in the hearts of all who honor their memory. #FOPStrong
